Anjor is a wine areas within the Loire Valley wine region in France particular famous for their Rose de Loire with their highest quality of Cabernet d'Anjou which is always made in a medium-sweet style in a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Rose d'Anjou is less sweet and is made predominantly of Grolleau (a local high yielding black grape) blended with Cabernet Franc and other local varieties. Anjor is also known for their\u00a0dry high acidity Chenin Blanc that are often matured in new oak.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

A commune (village) in the Burgundy wine region which is also an Appellation d'origine contr\u00f4l\u00e9e (AOC) producing both red and white wines, however the commune is most famous for its whites. Two of the most famous white Burgundy wines are partially located in Chassagne-Montrachet (with the neighboring commune of Puligny-Montrachet), namely the grand cru climats of Le Montrachet and B\u00e2tard-Montrachet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

A Burgundy Grand Cru \"Climat\" (term only used in Burgundy to define a parcel of land, usually a vineyard where each \u201cClimat\u201d has it\u2019s down distinctive terroir) and it\u2019s own Appellation d'origine contr\u00f4l\u00e9e (AOC) for red wine due to it\u2019s Grand Cru designation. Clos de Vougeot is the largest Grand Cru Climat in Burgundy.<\/p>\n

The Clos de Vougeot climat is located in the town (commune) of Vougeot and the vines are fully enclosed by a wall (clos<\/em> in French), distinctively inside the enclosed wall sits the castle Ch\u00e2teau du Clos de Vougeot which was a functioning winery but now serves as the headquarters of The Climats de Bourgogne.<\/p>\n

Is a white grape known for its pungent aromatic spicy nose, reminiscent of lychees, roses and sweet baking spices that thrive in cooler climates. The grape has a German name but it is famous in the french wine region of Alsace, which borders with Germany. It is one of 4 grapes that must be used in VT, SGN and grand cru wines form Alsace; as such it is one of the grapes termed as a \u201cnoble variety\u201d (the others are Riesling, Pinot Gris and Muscat).<\/p>\n

Gew\u00fcrztraminer tend to be full-bodied with a rich oily texture, low to medium acidity and high alcohol: wines of 14% abv are not uncommon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Liqueur d'exp\u00e9dition<\/h4>\n

After the disgorgement, not only the sediment from the dead yeast is ejected from the bottle but some liquid will as well. A mixture of wine (usually the same base wine as the sparkling wine, but not always as other liquids can be used) and sugar is added back into the bottle before corking to refill the bottle, this mixture is called Liqueur d'exp\u00e9dition.<\/p>\n

This Liqueur d'exp\u00e9dition is also known as dosage, as the mixture (sugar level) added will determine the final sweetness level of the sparkling wine. In Champagne, the following are the dosage levels and are shown prominently on the label such that the consumer will know the sweetness level of the Champagne; from driest to sweetest, the dosage categories are the following (with the sugar in grams per litre)<\/p>\n
